Travelling from one city to the next puts a huge strain on my body and mind. That’s why every time I return to Manchester, I love visiting one of these four fabulous luxury hotels. Depending on my mood, I go to each of them for a different experience.
Nevertheless, whichever hotel my clients or I choose, they are the perfect spots to relax, swim a few laps in the pool, and enjoy the delicious gourmet food. To help my out-of-town clients get a better sense of where to go, I’ve created this list of my favourite four luxury spa hotels in Manchester.

The King Street Townhouse is a staple of Manchester and it’s a historic luxury hotel, only 10 minutes away from the city centre.
There are 38 rooms in the Townhouse, but my personal favourite is the suite. It offers a stunning view of the city and a gorgeous free-standing bath. I find that it’s the best place to unwind, have fun, and enjoy myself with my clients.
Also, the Townhouse has a spa and wellness centre,as well as two swimming pools, and a fitness centre. The spa is only for adults, which means we can relax together in privacy and peace.
The hotel also has a stunning restaurant inside, with mouth-watering food on the menu. What’s more, depending on what we’re in the mood for, we can have afternoon tea or a Bottomless Brunch there.
The Edwardian is an award-winning, five-star iconic building and it’s one of my favourite luxury spa hotels in Manchester. Depending on what you like, to start the night, we can unwind in the Library with one of the Edwardian’s signature cocktails.
On the other hand, if you want to be a bit more active, we can take a dip in their 12-meter pool. Also, we can take advantage of their sauna or steam room — after all, who doesn’t enjoy getting a little sweaty?
If you love fine wine and dining, The Edwardian is the place to be. Earlier in 2019, they were voted the “Best Luxury Restaurant” in the UK. The restaurant specialises in a unique fusion of Mexican and Japanese dishes, and their food is unlike anything I’ve tasted before.
The Hilton Deansgate boasts the most stunning views of Manchester since it’s the highest building in the city. All of the rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows and the hotel is located in the centre of Manchester.
If you want to relax with me, we can visit Deansgate’s 20-meter indoor heated pool that has stunning underwater panels. Afterwards, we can refresh ourselves in the sauna, steam room, or whirlpool.
As far as the dining experience goes, the Hilton Deansgate, as one of the best luxury hotels in Manchester, is beyond compare. In the morning, we can go to their Executive Lounge for a delicious breakfast in the clouds.
For a more private experience, we can go to their incredible sky bar called Cloud 23. We can sip champagne and take in the panoramic views while having an intimate conversation.
The Lowry is another iconic, and possibly one of the best spa hotels in Manchester. The hotel has 163 rooms and 6 gorgeous suites, where we can unwind, relax, and explore each other.
Even though the Lowry Hotel doesn’t have a swimming pool, they make up for it with their spa. In fact, in their spa, they have six different treatment rooms where we can loosen up and enjoy different treatments.
Depending on our mood, we can visit the River Restaurant or the Lowry Lounge & Bar. In the restaurant, we can have afternoon tea or for a more romantic feel, go for the private dining experience. On the other hand, we can listen to live music and sip cocktails in their stunning Lounge & Bar.
